The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card from Chase is a good choice for a no-fee card for small and medium sized businesses. It offers good earning rates in several business categories, but with quite low earning caps.

The rewards structure with the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is potentially much more rewarding than it first appears. Although rewards are advertised as cashback, they can be claimed as Chase Ultimate Rewards points if you hold another points-earning Chase card. Points can then be transferred to several hotel or airline loyalty programs and spent that way. The value here can be around 1.8 cents per point.

The card could easily be paired with another card for higher earning in other categories or after caps have been reached.

MAIN CARD BENEFITS:

No annual fee.

A sign-up bonus of up to $750. This is tiered as $350 when you spend $3,000 in the first three months and a further $400 when you spend $6,000 in the first six months.

High cashback earnings of 5% for spending at office supply stores and on internet, cable, and phone services (on spending up to $25,000).

Cashback earnings of 2% for spending at gas stations and restaurants (on spending up to $25,000). Cashback of 1% on all other spending.

WHO IS THE CARD FOR:

Businesses looking for a no-fee card with a high sign-up bonus – particularly if they have heavy spending in office supply stores or telephony services.

It makes a good introductory business card as it has no annual fee. It also combines well with other cards allowing businesses to take advantage of different bonuses.

PROS:

One of the top sign-up bonuses for a no-fee card.

High cashback levels for certain business spending.

Rewards can be collected as Chase Ultimate Rewards points. These can be used for travel bookings or transferred to other programs for potentially higher value.

The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card can be combined with other Chase cards to offer even more benefits. For example, it could be used for spending in its 5% and 2% bonus categories, and the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card could be used for other spending.

CONS:

The bonus categories (5% and 2% cashback) are limited to $25,000 spending each year.

Earnings of 1% outside the bonus categories are lower than with most other cards.

There are no additional perks or travel benefits.
